How to get to Djerba
Dar Ines — Midoun, island of Djerba, Tunisia
Djerba, in south-eastern Tunisia, is easy to reach by air from Europe, or by road from mainland Tunisia and the Maghreb. Here is what you need to plan your trip to Dar Ines villa, in Midoun.
By air (Djerba airport, DJE)
Djerba-Zarzis International Airport (code DJE) serves the island directly. In season, many routes connect Europe to Djerba (scheduled and charter flights, notably from France). It is the simplest and fastest way.
From the airport, the villa is reached by car (taxi or rental); we send you the exact directions a few days before your arrival.
By road (El Kantara causeway)
Djerba is linked to the mainland by the El Kantara Roman causeway, a driveable embankment. From mainland Tunisia and the Maghreb, you reach the island by car without leaving the road. A ferry also links Jorf to Ajim for the west of the island.
A car is recommended on the island to enjoy the beaches, markets and sights: the villa has an enclosed garage.
